Information You Submit
Text entered in a search box, such as a name, phone number, or address, is sent to the outside provider that supplies those results. Our servers do not retain a copy of the query. A message sent to us contains only what the sender chooses to provide, and we use it to answer the request.
Information Collected Automatically
Our host creates routine server logs that can include an IP address, browser type, timestamp, and pages requested. We review this information in aggregate to maintain the service and see which resources are useful. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where applicable.
How Information Is Used
Limited visitor data helps us operate pages, diagnose faults, measure overall traffic, and improve content. We neither sell a visitor list nor assemble individual user profiles.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links lead to government portals, Utah and Salt Lake County offices, libraries, and outside search services. Information submitted after following a link is controlled by that operator's privacy terms. The same rule applies to sponsored search results, which come from a separate company.
Who May Process Information
Hosting and support vendors process server logs for us. Analytics or advertising providers may receive the automatic information described in this policy. We disclose information when valid legal process requires it and do not otherwise share visitor data.
Safeguards and Retention
An encrypted connection protects data in transit. Logs are kept only as long as needed for the stated operational purposes. Since there are no user accounts, we do not maintain visitor passwords or account profiles.
Visitors Under 18
The service is meant for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone younger than 18. Contact us if a minor submitted information so it can be removed.
Your Privacy Rights
The Utah Consumer Privacy Act, Utah Code Title 13, Chapter 61, gives eligible consumers rights involving access, deletion, portability, and certain opt-outs when a covered business meets the law's thresholds. Other jurisdictions may provide additional rights. Because we retain little, a request usually means checking our contact mailbox and logs. Use the Contact page to submit one. Records held by Midvale, Salt Lake County, or Utah agencies remain outside our control, so correction or removal must be requested from the custodian.
Changes to This Policy
Any revision will be posted here. Using the service after a revision takes effect indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
